Thank you for showing up and speaking out at the recent Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) meeting. Your voices made it clear: our community will not stand by while a wastewater treatment plant threatens the Flint River.

But the fight may not be over.

If ADEM moves ahead and approves the permit, our next step is legal action to challenge the decision and defend the river we love.

Legal battles are expensive — and we need your help to be ready.

Your donations will go directly toward:

• Attorney fees for filing and pursuing legal action

• Independent experts to challenge technical claims and support the case

• Court and administrative costs to hold regulators and developers accountable

We’re committed to complete transparency and stewardship of these funds:

• If ADEM does not issue the permit, and legal action isn’t needed, we will refund donations in full.

• If we raise more than is required, any remaining funds will be donated to the Tennessee Riverkeeper and/or the Flint River Conservation Association to continue protecting North Alabama’s waterways.
